Apple is facing two more legal challenges against the iPhone. Los Angeles-based
EMG Technology filed a suit in the U.S. District Court in Texas claiming that the iPhone infringes on a patent approved last month by the Patent and Trademark Office. The patent is for an "apparatus and method of manipulating a region on a wireless device screen for viewing, zooming and scrolling Internet content." In another case, an iPhone 3G user is seeking class status to sue for $5 million in restitution from Apple, claiming that the iPhone 3G does not perform as advertised.

Can't believe some people, you know?

I hope both of these plaintiffs loose. I'm pretty sure Apple has strong attorneys, and I'm hoping they research like crazy to develop enough evidence to win the jurors over. Apple is such a respectable company, and because of this many companies are highly jealous of their amazing products such as the iPhone. They would love, and I'm sure crave, to get some of Apple's dough.

$5,000,000 in restitution??? Are you kidding me? Just because their iPhone is a little slower than advertised? $5mil is NOT restitution, it is greedy "I want to retire rich", which he does not deserve, seriously. There are millions of products than don't work as advertised... just get over it, and work at improving it.
