A Motorola cell phone that plays songs from Apple's iTunes Music Store could be right around the corner, Apple's iTunes chief reportedly has confirmed. The iTunes-enabled handset is expected to be available in the first half of next year. Apple initially announced a deal on July 26 to put a special version of iTunes software onto Motorola cell phones.

Does that not combine the company with the worst user interface (Motorola, remember Personality), with the one with the best one (Apple)? What a pity Apple does not do this with Nokia, Samsung, Sony-Ericsson or PalmOne.
Is seems Apple has learned its lesson in terms of alliances, licensing, etc after it failed to convert an early technical lead with Mac OS into the market standard.
