AT&T Figures Its 3G Net Can Handle SlingPlayer for iPhone February 05, 2010
AT&T said Thursday it will now allow Sling Media's television-viewing program for the iPhone to operate over its "3G" high-speed mobile network. The reversal comes as the FCC is drafting rules to keep broadband providers -- including wireless companies -- from favoring or discriminating against Internet traffic flowing over their networks.

Apple's prices have been sliding since, closing on Monday at $194.73.

Apple Lets VoIP iPhone Apps Use 3G Connections January 29, 2010
Apple is allowing iPhone owners to use Internet calling services over cellular networks. Several companies offering Voice over Internet Protocol -- or VoIP -- services said this week that Apple now allows their applications to work on the iPhone. VoIP calling has been available on the iPhone, but only over WiFi connections, which don't have the range of 3G cellular networks.

Google Voice Sneaks Back Onto iPhone January 26, 2010
Google on Tuesday launched a new version of Google Voice for the iPhone, half a year after Apple kicked the application off the iTunes App Store. However, the latest version of Google Voice is a browser app leveraging HTML 5 and accessible through the iPhone's Safari browser, not an app that's downloadable from the App Store.

Report: The End Is Nigh for AT&T's iPhone Exclusivity January 25, 2010
Jan. 27 will no doubt be a big day for Apple. The company is widely expected to unveil a new tablet computer Wednesday, but that may not be all it will have to talk about. Apple will also announce the end of AT&T's exclusive hold on the device in the U.S., according to a source cited in a Hot Hardware report. Cupertino may also split carrier rights for its much-anticipated tablet between AT&T and Verizon.

Apple has filed a complaint before the U.S. International Trade Commission requesting that it block Nokia imports to the U.S. The request follows a legal dispute between two companies that began in October when Nokia filed suit against Apple for patent infringement.
