HealthExtras (Nasdaq: HLEX), an online provider of supplemental health and disability benefit insurance, is set to go public today. The company priced 5.5 million shares at $11, the middle of its proposed range of $10 to $12.
This offering might not seem too sexy, but online insurance sales is a large growing market, and HealthExtras has the added benefit of having Christopher Reeve as a spokesman. While this stock is not expected to open at a huge premium today, it is one to keep an eye on.
